TSI Appraisal Travels to Baltimore for the Valuation Expo
From July 11th—13th, 2016, TSI Appraisal team members represented the company at the Valuation Expo in Baltimore, Maryland. The event featured some of the best and brightest minds working in the appraisal industry today. TSI Appraisal’s presence at the occasion included a booth on the trade show floor as well as participation in the conference giveaway program, Appraisal Bee.
For the last 13 years, the Valuation Expo trade show has provided opportunities for lenders, appraisers, appraisal management companies, and other industry players to connect and network face to face. This year’s event spanned three days and took place at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront, which stands along the picturesque waterside of Baltimore’s famed Inner Harbor. Appraisers made up more than 50 percent of those in attendance, seconded by appraisal management companies. The schedule for the event included continuing education sessions and keynote speeches by former Maryland Governor Bob Ehrlich and FBI Special Agent Carrie Fisher, along with dozens of other industry speakers and educators.
Despite the scenic views and downtown fun that Charm City had to offer, the most exciting part of the occasion took place in the convention center of the hotel, where TSI Appraisal team members met with industry thought leaders, vendors, and appraisers from across the country. The Title Source presence at the event was also focused on providing fee panel appraisers, some of whom have suffered from financial instability in recent years, another option to help further their career. The TSI Appraisal staff appraiser program allows these professionals the chance to use and grow their existing skillset in a way that gives them the freedom of running their own business, but also the steady income associated with the infrastructure of a large company. Ultimately, TSI Appraisal’s Baltimore excursion was a successful way to promote their values and message.
