August 2, 2021
Each year, HousingWire selects women in the mortgage and real estate industry whose “energy, ideas, achievements as well as commitment to excellence and progress give us a look at the future of the industry.” Heather Moldovan, our VP of Purchase & Client Relations Operations, fits that criteria perfectly – we’re proud to announce she received the HousingWire 2021 Women of Influence award!
As a frequent industry speaker and published author, Heather has presented to mortgage finance professionals on topics such as ALTA Best Practices, the nuances of REO transactions, identifying efficiencies for the settlement process and enhancing the real estate agent experience in purchase transactions. Heather is an active member of the Michigan Land Title Association (MLTA) and the American Land Title Association (ALTA), as well as a licensed title agent in multiple states. Heather is also a passionate supporter of Habitat for Humanity, finding opportunities to volunteer monthly even during the pandemic.

When record-low mortgage rates created a surge of volume at Amrock, Heather led a team to support the highest priority areas within the business. With the help of her team’s adaptability, alongside Amrock’s proprietary technology platforms, the company scaled production and met the growing demand. Since her team was experiencing rapid change, she focused on communicating the reason and rationale behind the updates, so team members felt supported and understood the essential role they were playing.
Heather also implemented virtual experiences to increase team member engagement, including all-team meetings for updates on Amrock’s business, virtual volunteer experiences, leadership check-ins and “Factoid Fridays” that allow teams to informally connect and discuss a wide range of topics. Her ongoing commitment to a healthy work environment is one of the reasons why Amrock team surveys showed increases in team member engagement and in favorable statements about the company.
Heather’s contributions certainly drive our industry forward. Check out our Facebook page if you’d like to congratulate her on this well-deserved accolade!
