Online Notarization Gets a Live Demo at Detroit’s NS3
Attendees of the 2018 National Settlement Services Summit (NS3) arrived in Detroit for three days of educational presentations, dynamic panel discussions, instructional sessions, and the opportunity to network and collaborate with their fellow real estate peers.
This world-class conference, which took place at the Detroit Marriott June 6 – 8, annually attracts thought leaders from a range of real estate areas including title, compliance, technology, and mortgage lending.
Between the picture-perfect weather, the energy of our bustling downtown area, and all the great food and entertainment for attendees to enjoy during their stay in our fine city, NS3 helped initiate many more new-found Detroit lovers.
Amrock President Brian Hughes was a returning speaker to the NS3 stage as he participated in the panel discussion: “From Zero to eClosing.” The presentation explored how developing legislation is allowing some forms of eNotarization in various states, and how lenders and title insurance professionals are increasingly moving toward the adoption of eClosing.
“This is an exciting time in our industry,” said Brian. “We’re witnessing the development of innovative technologies that are allowing consumers to experience a fully digital process.”
Brian also helped bring eClose to life on stage as he introduced a live eClosing demonstration that featured online notarization. Spectators were able to get a feel for what is widely considered to be the future industry standard in the consumer closing experience.
The demonstration was followed by a deep dive discussion into the process and technology involved, as well as an active Q and A.
“After the demonstration, we got a lot of great feedback about the platform,” said Amrock Senior Business Analyst Julie Felts, who took part in the demonstration. “People were impressed with the security features and loved that the system is so intuitive and easy to use.”
