Title Source’s Books for Breakfast children’s book drive made its comeback this year in each of our offices! Team members were eager to donate new or gently used children’s books to local organizations as a way to give back to their communities as part of National Reading Month. On the final day of the book drive, a delicious breakfast was served to help celebrate its success.

So, which office donated the most books? Take a look!

California and Pennsylvania were counting on the luck of the Irish when they hosted their breakfasts on St. Patrick’s Day. Throughout the weeklong book collection, our friends in Cerritos, CA, accumulated a total of 139 books for Wittmann Elementary School. That’s a total of 4.5 books per team member!

Coraopolis, PA was definitely determined when they heard there was going to be just-baked Bob Evans biscuits served at breakfast. Those team members pulled together to donate 4.6 books per person, for a grand total of 689 books! The students at Highland Elementary in Ambridge, PA were thankful when team members visited and read stories after dropping off all of their new reading material.

Texas said they were ready to tango when offices in Fort Worth and Dallas teamed up to make a difference. Altogether, they collected 107 books (over 1.5 books per person) for the Children’s Corner Preschool as well as JL Hughes Elementary School. Way to go, Texas!

Detroit, Cleveland and Troy didn’t waste any time! These offices more than doubled their donations from last year. All in all, the three Michigan locations pulled together 899 books for the Read to a Child Organization.

A huge thank-you to all of the community involvement representatives in each office, team members, and team leaders who lent a hand during Books for Breakfast 2016! Our grand total was 1,834 books! Great job!
