Amrock Joins NAREB at Community Home Buyers Summit

The National Association of Real Estate Brokers (NAREB) held a Community Home Buyers Summit on November 17 at Greater Grace Temple in Detroit, and Amrock was excited to help sponsor an educational event in its hometown.

The event served as an opportunity for local home buyers to share experiences and ask questions to seasoned professionals about the real estate industry.

Real estate professionals and companies from all aspects of the industry were in attendance, including Realtists®, who are official NAREB members that “promote the highest standards of professional integrity” and “make certain that communities of color are treated with dignity and respect,” according to their website. NAREB and all its members support their mission statement’s creed of Democracy in Housing.

“I’m grateful to NAREB for the opportunity to answer home buyers’ questions about the title and appraisal process,” said Dakota Gordon, Account Executive at Amrock. “It was so fulfilling to see people’s faces light up when they realized how much power and choice they have as consumers.”

Between sitting at the Amrock booth and walking around the venue, Dakota fielded a wide range of questions that were as complex as escrow vesting, and as simple as “What is title insurance?”. He brought plenty of resources for attendees to take home and reference at their leisure, while also providing his direct contact information for more immediate follow-ups or just sharing good news.

“I made a lot of new friends thanks to NAREB, and I can’t wait to hear about the progress they make in real estate,“ said Dakota Gordon. “Helping consumers empower themselves and build wealth is exactly the kind of impact I want to have.”
